Highlight of My Day #808 - 11/19/09

• For very early risers in the US there was a live Biggest Loser podcast on SQPN Connect this morning. For folks like me the good stuff came in the afternoon. • That was when SQPN began live coverage of the National Catholic Youth Conference in Kansas City, KS. Scores of Catholic teens descended on the city, some dressed in their school colors and sporting wacky hats. Nick & Pat Padley and Paul Camarata were there at the conference to promote SQPN. They had booths displaying SQPN merchandise. • From the chat room we got to say hi to the teens who stopped by. Most had cell phones. They called their friends and families to let them know they could be seen live on the internet. • Among those in the chat were Denyse, Fr. Jim, Fr. Roderick, Jeanne, Joanne, Lisa Hendey, Christy, John Villacrusis and Jeff Young. • Inspired by the large crowd Father decided to stream a live Breakfast with Fr. Roderick to the NCYC. Our own crowd grew as Steve, Fr. Seraphim, Anne, Andrea, Kim A, Ryan, Debi, Sr. Mary, Deborah, Inge and Jim Beeghley joined the chat room. I did my best to keep track of everyone and keep show notes while eating my dinner. • Around 5PM EST Pat turned off the camera. But he said there would be more to see tomorrow (Friday). • In other highlights I talked with Denyse and Deborah on Skype in the morning. And in the evening Denyse and I listened to Catholic Family Journal #2 with John & Heather Hack.
